My name is Dave Williams and I am running for President of SGA, and my running mate is Andy Adair.

I have served SGA for two school years, my first as a student Senator and my second as a Justice for the J-Board. I was involved with the creation of the new constitution that SGA will be under for next semester, and I will be able to provide leadership that will guarantee a smooth transition. I have always advocated for fiscal responsibility, as well as, advocating for lower student fees. If elected, I will continue to fight for those principles.

I would like to create a new "Parking Advisory" committee to address the issue of parking and parking fees. In addition I would like to specifically address why students who live in the dorm will now be forced to buy permits even if they don't own cars; I think that is wrong.

I would also like to implement a "Rent-a-Book" program for the bookstore so that students could rent a certain textbook a professor might assign for only a short time or if students can't afford to buy books at all. I would also like to stop the bookstore from selling newer edition textbooks that don't have any worthy change.

I would like to create a "Club Incentive" program that would reward clubs for hosting and having events on campus. Currently, clubs are capped out on the amount of money they can receive from the SGA, and I feel that clubs should be rewarded for hosting and holding events. These events help crush the apathy that runs wild here at UCCS.

Part of my "Dream" goals would be to try and get the 2008 Presidential candidates(McCain and Obama or Clinton) to come and debate at UCCS for the next fall semester.
